Rednecks love both crappie and pizza, so why not...
8 crappie fillets, pan grilled
1 loaf of Italian or French bread, halved lengthwise and cut like for a Hoagy sanwich. You want the slices close to the size of the fillets.
1 jar Bertolli 5-Cheese Sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ cup onions, chopped
¼ cup olives, chopped (black or green)
¼ cup olives, chopped (black or green)
Preheat a toaster oven to 400 degrees, or use the oven.
Grill the crappie fillets to your taste and set aside.
On each slice of bread, place a fillet, topped with Bertolli 5-Cheese Sauce, a sprinkle of cheese, onions and olives.
Place in the oven (use a cookie sheet under them if you are using the regular oven) and bake until the bread is toasty and the cheese melts.
Serve immediately. Good stuff bubba!!

Anyway, this is one of those casseroles where the amounts are unimportant. Just fill up the baking dish and shove it in the oven. Read More→
