Baked crappie coated with Wheaties and butter make for a tasty and crunchy crappie fillet. Serve these fillets up with some potato salad and baked beans for a hearty lunch or dinner.

Wheaties! - Breakfast of Crappie?

Ingredients:

2 lb crappie fillets
2 cups crushed Wheaties
½ cup melted butter

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Line a baking pan with foil and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, crush the flakes by hand into a coarse consistency, not powder.

Coat the fillets with melted butter, then dredge in the crushed flakes until well coated.

Place on the baking sheet.

When all the fillets are coated, place them in the oven for 15 - 20 minutes, or until they begin to brown nicely.
