Crappie Attracting Method
Email This Crappie Tip to a Friend
Here's one of the best crappie attracting methods I have ever used and you can do it for under $1.00 (plus fish).
1) Get a large Mason jar and paint the lid a close match to the crappie fishing waters in your area.
2) Punch holes in the jar lid to allow water to circulate.
3) Tie 80 lb. test line to the top of the jar so you can suspend it in the water off the side of your boat.
4) Fill the jar with lake water and place several live minnows inside. Then lower the jar into the water and tie off the end of the line to your boat so it looks something like this.

Great Crappie Attracting Method
The reason this works so well is because most crappie don't understand how glass works, so they start to swarm around the jar trying to figure out a way to get to the minnows.
All you have to do now is fish with a live minnow as close to the jar as you can and reel them in.
