The Humminbird Smartcast fish finder works just as well as my big $400 boat mounted Eagle finder does. The only real difference is that the Smartcast utilizes a wireless tranducer you cast out into the water with an old rod/reel. When it starts working it transmits the data back to the battery operated fish finder main unit. Simply attach the Remote Sonar Sensor to your line and cast for a real-time view of fish, bottom, and underwater structure right where your line is.
