There are probably thousands of articles on the Net about using fish finders, but they all assume that you are fishing from a boat. What about when you're fishing from shore or through the ice? You still need to know the depth, temperature of the water, bottom terrain and where the crappie are, don't you?

Well, here's the answer! It's called the Humminbird Smartcast fish finder. The Humminbird Smartcast fish finder works just as well as my big $400 boat mounted Eagle finder does. The only real difference is that the Smartcast utilizes a wireless tranducer you cast out into the water with an old rod/reel. When it starts working it transmits the data back to the battery operated fish finder main unit. Simply attach the Remote Sonar Sensor to your line and cast for a real-time view of fish, bottom, and underwater structure right where your line is. Or use the Humminbird SmartCast Remote Sonar Sensor to preview an area before you fish. Just cast it out, and reel it in for an accurate picture of what's below. Compatible with all SmartCast Wireless Fishfinders Displays water surface temperature Night fishing capability with flashing light 4 level gray scale capabilities (with RF15 and PMax30 Portable only) Extended battery life (up to 500 hours of in-water use) Programmable A/B channels in the RSS so you can use two units in the same area with reduced interference 120 foot depth capability.
